Position summary statement:
The Scientist, Document Control – India role at Herbalife International provides an opportunity for a dedicated professional to maintain raw material specifications accurately. You will work with diverse teams to ensure timely approval of raw material changes.
Detailed responsibilities/duties:
- Perform technical review of raw material documents for acceptability for Inner and/or Outer Nutrition to maintain our exceptionally high standards.
- Collaborate and provide mentorship to Document Sourcing group regarding inquiries related to raw material specifications, documentation, and Agile processes.
- Collaborate with various teams to update raw material specs in Agile based on regulations.
- Route raw material change requests and change orders in Agile by gathering approvals from different departments in a timely manner to ensure flawless execution.
- Review raw materials used in formulas or formula revisions, ensuring that raw materials and suppliers are approved for contract manufacturers.
- Discuss specific country testing requirements with Global Regulatory Affairs and Product Compliance, as needed.
- Work with raw material suppliers or contract manufacturers (as needed) to resolve issues related to raw material specifications.
- Support and provide mentorship to the Document Sourcing team.
- Inform contract manufacturers when there is a raw material specification change.
- Maintain all documents related to raw material to ensure strict compliance.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support our world-class operations.
Required qualifications:

Experience:
- 4-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control in an FDA regulated industry (21-CFR- Food, Dietary Supplement or Drug).
- Laboratory testing experience in Food, Dietary Supplement, Pharmaceutical, Environmental sectors.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
